I wonder what our ancestors did when they wanted to show their affection or love to someone. Was it a fancy gift? Was it a hallmark card? Was it glamorous whatever it is? I seriously doubt it. What troubles me today is that it is not enough to say I love you...you have to constantly and sistematically prove it to your women. And they are always glad to have that next proof.
Once when we were hunters...we would go outside hunt and bring meat into our homes. Now we have additional obligations such as bringing the chocolate, flower, parfume and etc...
What if I enter any store on the 15th of February I see something precious and want to buy it for her. I neglect this thought immediately because I must do it on 14th to show that I love her.
Anyways...some curse St. Valentine...some wish blessings for him...but I feel pity for what happened to ideals that he fought and died for...
Now after writing such thing you think I am not going to celebrate this day with my Sweety. You are wrong...I will buy her a flower and her dream phone...I will knock that door and get that kiss....I will prove my love again! I will do it on 14 th of february...because I am 180 just like you!
P.S : Long gone are the days when we crafted some beautiful things and presented them to our girls. Handmade gifts era was cruelly replaced by technologically advanced...glamourized...and fashionized era. Which killed all opponents and get the control of any market on earth.
